The sign says it all...
I always thought I was a native English speaker. But it turns out, I was wrong. On this document for French people trying to improve their English, they learn that:
"In English, we say 'on holiday' and, in American, 'on vacation'."
So, I am actually a native American speacker. Nice to know.
